Mi chiamo Massimo Sutera, sono nato a Forlì (Italia) il 12-01-1961.
Le due attività dove sono sempre riuscito ad esprimermi al meglio e per le quali ho studiato duramente sono l'elettronica e la musica.
Nella musica sono riuscito ad ottenere grandi risultati suonando con musicisti di alto livello sia nazionali che internazionali partecipando per circa venti anni ai tour più prestigiosi. Non ho mai trascurato comunque di approfondire le mie capacità in elettronica e più precisamente nel campo dell'audio analogico. Da qualche anno stanco di girovagare per il mondo mi sto preparando a presentare alcuni prodotti che sono frutto di ricerche di suono e di affidabilità. Questi prodotti sono funzionanti già da qualche tempo in studi di registrazione e tour molto importanti e chi li possiede si dichiara talmente soddisfatto da non poterne fare più a meno. Ho sempre progettato e realizzato a mano ogni singola macchina per le esigenze di ingegneri del suono e di musicisti (cosa che faccio ancora su richiesta). Il fatto di essere due in uno (cioè progettista e musicista) mi ha permesso di comprendere profondamente la condizione di un artista che non riesce a spiegare ad un tecnico le cose che non vanno in quel suono o rumore. Nello stesso tempo mi rifiuto di fare delle scelte dettate dal mercato per abbassare i costi o far quadrare ingegneristicamente il progetto perché la filosofia è quella che il progettista più bravo è quello che usa meno componenti. Purtroppo la teoria e la pratica non vanno d'accordo e in mezzo ci sono gli artisti che non sono poi così visionari. Credo di aver realizzato dei grandi prodotti su tutti i fronti: fedeltà, rumorosità, assistenza, praticità e affidabilità.

My  name is Massimo Sutera  and I was born in Forlì, Italy, on the 12° of February 1961. More than in any other domain, in the past I gave the best of myself  as a musician and as as an electronic devices manufacturer.I studied very hard for both things. As a session player I was able to express my musicianship with the biggest italian stars and often with foreign acts too, taking part for more than 20 years into the longest tours.At the same time I never neglected to deepen my knowledge into electronics, in particular analog audio items.As I started out as a pro at the age of 19, when I got to 39 I was fed up with playing around the world, thus giving birth to a new career.
Now I can say I am able to introduce these new products, the result of long researches concerning, above all, reliability.These machines are being used both in recording studios and by engineers in their tours. The items are so much praised by the people who use them that, as they put it, “It’s become impossible to work without them!”.I single-handedly manufactured every machine and if the demand should arise I can still do that.As we all know musicians and sound engineers are very demanding.The fact that  I am a musician myself allows me to be in the shoes of  somebody who wants a particular sound but finds it quite hard to explain to an engineer what it should be like.Sometimes it would be easier to say what they don’t want!At the same time I am not very keen on the theory that  one should always follow the general market needs to lower the costs, faithful to the misconception that “the simpler, the best”, a theory according to which the smartest engineer is somebody who uses as less components as possible.In the actuality, real life and theory rarely follow the same pattern, also considering that in the midst of all there are the artists, sometimes born dreamers themselves!I think I really achieved what I wanted. This is to say machines that meet with every requirements in terms of: fidelity, noise absence, praticality and reliability.
